With an ever increasing market and the wider utilization of electronics applications, the aerospace industry is seeking ways to cut costs – and potentially outsource jobs to Asia.
Among the topics to be discussed:
About the Speaker:
A Royal Military Academy Sandhurst-trained former Infantry Officer in the British Army for five years, Mr. Simon Best started his electronics career selling bare Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for Irlandus Circuits in 1984.
In the late 1980s, Mr. Best saw a gap in the High Technology Electronics market and founded Surface Technology International (STI) Ltd., which grew steadily to become the largest privately-owned aerospace/military contract manufacturing company in the United Kingdom.
Under Mr. Best’s leadership in the defense and aerospace industries, STI gained a reputation for manufacturing, design and quality excellence across three AS9100-approved facilities in the U.K. and Philippines and exceeded £100 million in revenue. In the quest for industry leadership, STI counts key defense and aerospace companies among its customer base.
