Marketing in multiple languages requires more than simply translating advertisements: it requires a deep understanding of the target markets. Explicitly considering language and culture produces a better marketing mix that more accurately reflects the needs of your customers, both current and potential. By drawing on his experiences in the translation and editing industry, where language is the message, the medium, and the product and on his training as a mathematical analyst, Dr. Chad Musick will show you practical steps to project a consistent message across languages and markets.
This workshop is focused on marketing for small- and medium-sized businesses, where turning a good message into a great message can make the difference between failure and success. Strong marketing is based on thorough research. Knowing what to focus on can save time and money in doing that research and applying it to your business.
The information presented should benefit everyone at your company who has any interaction with the public or your customers. The presentation will be in English, but questions are welcome in both English and Japanese.
About the presenter:
Dr. Chad Musick is the operations manager at ThinkSCIENCE, a language-services company with offices in Tokyo and Nagoya. He earned his PhD in Mathematical Science from Nagoya University and is a member of the ACCJ Chubu Independent Business Committee.
