nova (n.): a sudden brightening of stars as a result of material coming from a companion star.
The Chubu Women in Business Committee invites you to our second Bella Nova Night, a networking event for working women, at Halelani Terrace. Please join us and share your light!
Bella Nova Night is an incredibly popular series of events in the ACCJ Kansai Chapter, and it is now coming to the Chubu Chapter. The event is open to all working women and is designed to create a welcoming space where each participant can shine brightly and strengthen her network.
Each Bella Nova Night kicks off with the Bella Nova Spotlight, where a featured participant shares a thumbnail sketch of her life and career journey.
This time, our spotlight will shine on Ms. Chris Meigs-Owen, an airline transport pilot, human factors technologist/engineer, and avid educator and instructor, who is currently working at Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation on the MRJ 200. In a talk titled "Facing and Overcoming Adversity," Chris will share her career and life story with us. This is an informal event for women only.
We look forward to seeing you there!
In 1996, Chris began working at her dream job – she couldn’t believe she was getting paid to fly planes! However, life had other plans for her, and she was thrown a curveball. She would not be where she is today without the adversity she has faced.
In her spare time, Chris enjoys flying the three planes she owns, as well as running, cooking, entertaining friends, and being mom to a 5-year-old border collie named Rudder. Though she is enjoying the experience of living and working in Japan, she calls Tampa, Florida her home.
