Area of Responsibility
The ACCJ Kansai Chapter is actively seeking a self-motivated and highly organized candidate for an opportunity as an Operations Assistant. Under the direction of the Kansai Director, the Operations Assistant has responsibility for the operational needs of the Kansai Chapter Office.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position has a minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning or a related field (e.g. logistics, crisis management, or sales); demonstrates a proven ability to work with diverse groups and committees; has experience using InDesign or a similar desktop publishing program; has experience updating websites via a content management system; and is comfortable with and excited by business promotion via social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). Candidates without the qualifications listed above, but with strong interest in these areas are also encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates for this position bring:
Superior English written and verbal communication skills (must be native or near native-level) with business level Japanese language skills a plus.

- Advanced experience using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Knowledge of or keen interest in emerging communications concepts and tools
- Experience with web platforms like Wordpress or Weebly is a plus
- A college degree and 2-3 years of professional experience
