Company Summary:
Amway Japan G.K., headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, has approximately 350 permanent employees. Annual sales are nearly JPY 100 billion/USD $1B, making it the leading foreign direct selling company in Japan. Amway sells 200+ quality products through some 700,000 distributors nationwide.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Will be assigned for 8 weeks to a single Division as a full professional team member, providing the intern substantive business experience.  Divisional assignment will depend on interest(s) expressed in application and business needs
  • Will be exposed to other Divisions and span of company operations
  • Will participate in enrichment activities for professional skills development and to learn about global business operations and Amway Japan’s business and culture.
  • Will make formal presentation on internship experience at close of internship.
  • Amway will provide written evaluation of performance 

Compensation: 
2,000 yen/hour plus local commuting expenses.
 
Dates, Days, Time:  
Business hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with an hour for lunch (7 work hours/day).  Occasional after-hours work may be necessary, compensated for by flex time.  With supervisor’s concurrence, interns may work flexible hours.
 
Location:
​Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.  Nearest stations: Shibuya and Yoyogi Koen
 
Qualifications: 
  • Native-level Japanese and strong English (Reading/Writing/Speaking)
  • Current student (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Study at a U.S. university (degree program or exchange study)
  • PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word)
  • Good cross-cultural communications and interpersonal skills
  • Eligible to work in Japan
  • Interns from any academic discipline are welcome to apply
