This committee aims to promote inward and outward foreign direct investment (FDI) as well as regional and global economic cooperation. A major focus is advocating policy, legal and regulatory changes in Japan to increase inward FDI flows from their present low level. The committee also serves as a forum for ACCJ members to network and share information regarding cross-border investment, trade and other business issues, including by serving as a liaison between the ACCJ and external organization such as the U.S. National Center for APEC and the Asia-Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce (APCAC). The committee will keep abreast of the changing dynamics of the global economy and explore ways that young professionals in Japan can shape their relationship with the global economy.
