Wireless Technology Park (WTP) 2018

Wireless Technology Park (WTP) 2018 is one of the biggest events in Japan focused on research and development of wireless communication technologies. Under the main theme of "5G x IoT and beyond," WTP 2018 will introduce the latest activities and up-to-date technologies that are essential for 5G (5th-generation mobile communications system) and Internet of Things (IoT).

WTP 2018 will prepare for visitors from overseas by providing explanations in English in major booths and booth tours with an English-speaking guide.

<<5G Tokyo Bay Summit(r) 2018>>
NTT DOCOMO supported the development of the largest 5G pavilion. Attendees will be introduced to efforts of telecom operators and world’s leading vendors toward 5G and new services/use cases utilizing 5G.

<<Flexible Factory Project Pavilion>>
A verification project of wireless communication technologies to accelerate factory IoT through harmonization and stabilization to control various and mixed wireless systems. At the booth, you can find our latest results, especially how to apply wireless technologies into the management/monitoring at manufacturing.

最新のワイヤレス技術を結集した専門イベントである「ワイヤレス・テクノロジー・パーク (WTP)2018」が、いよいよ来週5月23日(水)~25日(金)に東京ビッグサイトで開催されます。

WTP2018では、ワイヤレスソリューションの専門展示会である
「ワイヤレスジャパン2018」とタッグを組んだことにより、過去最大規模の
5G(第5世代移動通信システム)パビリオンが実現いたしました。

また、工場内IoTにおける安全な無線通信の利活用を目指す
「Flexible Factory Project」や、IoTに必要な位置情報を提供する
衛星・屋内測位の実用化に向けた最新技術情報を紹介する
「ロケーションサービス」等の各パビリオンも設置され、
関連セミナーも多数行われます。

会期中は3日間にわたり主要ブースでの英語対応を行っており、
海外来場者向けのガイド付き視察ツアーも実施いたします。

International Company Convention in APU

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University will hold an “International Company Convention in APU” with the aim of building connections and mutual understanding between our institution with members of foreign-affiliated companies who are developing their business globally. On the day of the Convention, in addition to partaking in a regarding the future development of global human resources, we hope that various companies will introduce themselves and share their strengths as a company with students, faculty and staff members.

 11:00 – 12:00: Session presided over by President DEGUCHI Haruaki (brief lecture and informal discussion)
  Theme: Human Resources Depertoment in the Modern Age (conducted in English with interpretation provided)
 12:00 – 13:00: Informal lunch gathering (buffet-style)
 13:30 – 16:00: Introduction of attendee companies with the use of walk-in booths for each company
            *Language: English or Japanese

Minato Bosai Festa

Japan is an earthquake-prone country, yet there are not many opportunities for foreign people to gain knowledge about disaster prevention measures.  Minato City will hold a “Minato Bosai (disaster risk reduction) Festa” in English and in easy Japanese to help foreigners gain basic knowledge of disaster preparedness and to help ensure their safety and security.

Date: Sunday, June 17, 2018 (the event will be canceled in case of inclement weather)

Location: Roppongi Hills Arena

There will be various interactive programs held in English and easy Japanese in the booths at the event. Minato International Disaster-relief Volunteers will assist you as interpreters at each booth. Visitors may enjoy learning about disaster preparedness by participating in these experience-based programs.

​みなと防災フェスタ~やさしい日本語と英語で体験しよう!

日本は災害の多い国ですが、外国人にとって災害や防災について学ぶ機会は多くありません。港区は、外国人の安全・安心の確保を一層進めるため、「みなと防災フェスタ~やさしい日本語と英語で体験しょう!~」を実施します。
