CEAC aims to:
- Improve the committee experience;
- Maximize the impact of committees on the ACCJ’s four pillars of networking, information-sharing, advocacy and community; and
- Establish an objective and transparent process for tracking committee performance.
CEAC has created a framework to execute the objectives above with a focus on supporting committee leaders.
Guidelines
- The guidelines are a set of minimum expectations for all committees and subcommittees. You can download the guidelines PDF here.
- In an effort to promote diversity and new leadership development, as a guideline we suggest that committee leaders who have served in the same leadership position for six consecutive years consider stepping aside for a year. A similar guideline already applies to the Board of Governors.

Training
- CEAC will host sessions that provide information and training on key aspects of committee leadership and engagement.
- We ask that leaders attend Leadership Forum as well as training sessions on a best effort basis. Your input - whether you are new to committee leadership or an experienced leader - will foster the exchange of best practices and the continued development of committees across the ACCJ.
Tracking
- CEAC will provide you with more information to monitor the progress and performance of your committee. After setting goals and targets at the start of the year, you will receive regular support and engagement from your Committee Coordinator.
- On a bi-annual basis, you will receive relevant responses from an annual committee engagement survey and key metrics.
