Event Overview:
Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities’ Transaction Management Team wins FT’s Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers Award, Innovation in Operation: Talent, Strategy and Changing Behaviors. Most would imagine investment bankers and their legal teams working round the clock to ensure that their clients’ transactions are completed successfully and on time. Surprisingly, however, Masako Nomoto, Managing Director and Head of Transaction Management Group at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities, has successfully and innovatively restructured how the deal process works. Under this new structure, the focus is on meaning rather than hours; a part of “work-style reform (hatarakikata kaikaku)” initiatives. Together with legal professionals from Davis Polk & Wardwell and Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, Ms. Nomoto will discuss how project based work environments, such as deal processes, can be restructured. This event will be moderated by Leo Lewis from the Financial Time, which hosted the Innovative Lawyer Awards. The panel will discuss (i) process oriented culture and issues, (ii) fostering talent in deal management and (iii) hatarakikata, what this means to you. The session will be encouraging for everyone striving to get out of the office in a timely manner!
