Event Overview:
The ACCJ is continuing its quarterly Venture Capital Breakfast with the CEO of another Fintech venture called Paidy. Japan is known around the world for its cutting-edge technology, but it remains a largely cash-based society. Avoiding credit cards might help big spenders stay out of debt, but online shopping options are severely limited without plastic. Exchange Corporation wants to change that with its Paidy service, which allows ecommerce shoppers to buy now and pay later without a credit card. The Tokyo-based Fintech raised its Series A round of funding in September 2014. Come to hear about the challenges and rewards of launching a venture, raising funds, creating a service, raising consumer awareness, and generating revenue. Russell Cummer, the CEO of Exchange Corporation, will take a break from working on Paidy to update the ACCJ on this venture and his experience in raising capital. Frank Packard, Christopher P.
