Event Overview:
Of the many issues raised by the new administration to “Make America Great Again”, one day-to-day issue that has practical effect for business is how Trump will address Intellectual Property. Without the TPP, how firmly and on what issues will the new administration negotiate abroad? How strongly will a preference, if any, go towards various stake holders? How will the U.S.P.T.O. and U.S.I.T.C. be encouraged to interpret case law, such as the recent Supreme Court decisions on patent eligibility and international patent exhaustion? Ron Harris of The Harris Firm Gaiben Hojin will provide insight into these and other questions that matter to Japanese and foreign-run enterprises in Japan at our upcoming ACCJ IP Committee seminar. About the Speaker: Ron Harris’s day-to-day practice involves all aspects of global patent application preparation and prosecution. He provides daily advice in chemical, pharmaceutical, medical device, software, mechanical, electrical and biochemical technologies. To learn more about the speaker, click here.
