Event Overview:
It is hard to believe that the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games are only 3 years away. To hear more about what excitement is in store for everyone at the Paralympic Games, the ACCJ and BCCJ have invited Mr. Yasushi Yamawaki (President, Japan Paralympic Committee) and Ms. Eri Yamamoto-MacDonald, both from the Nippon Foundation Paralympic Support Center, to speak about their organization's activities. Both Mr. Yamawaki and Ms. Yamamoto-MacDonald have been hard at work raising awareness and creating an inclusive environment for athletes with impairments. Ms. Yamamoto-MacDonald also happens to be training as a power lifter for an appearance at the 2020 Paralympic Games. With the support of the likes of former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori and Governor of Tokyo Yuriko Koike, the Nippon Foundation Paralympic Support Center aims to make society more inclusive through the Paralympic movement. We hope that you will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn more about the efforts being made and to support Paralympic athletes.
