IMPORTANT UPDATE
Please note that this event has been postponed until further notice. Thank you for your understanding and should you have any questions, please contact programs@accj.or.jp anytime. The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) Women in Business Committee is pleased to invite you to the first Tokyo 2020 Women in Business Conversation and Cocktails event on Monday, March 2, at the Roppongi Hills Club. Conversation and Cocktails will be held twice this year—in spring and fall—in lieu of our signature Women in Business Summit, and the evening start time is meant to encourage more participation from working ACCJ members and guests. Our first conversation for 2020, held in collaboration with the Young Professionals Forum (YPF), will focus on how Millennials are challenging diversity norms and advancing a culture of inclusion. Although Millennials comprise less than 18 percent of Japan’s population, they have an important role to play in shaping a more inclusive community. We are pleased to have Kathy Matsui, Chief Japan Strategist at Goldman Sachs, as moderator for what is expected to be a lively conversation with our three panelists: Priyanka Yoshikawa: Miss World Japan 2016. Her title marked a symbolic step towards breaking down cultural barriers. Natsuho Torii: Deputy Secretary General of the Japan Exchange Group and an advocate of environment, social, and governance efforts. Shinsuke Okui: Chairperson of AbbVie’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which drives diversity efforts towards a more inclusive culture. Each of these amazing speakers will share their personal experiences and how they have turned challenges into opportunities. This event has been structured to allow generous time for continuing the conversation over cocktails—hence the name—so you can build new relationships and deepen existing ones. Conversation over Cocktails is for anyone in a position to help cultivate diversity to drive strategy for an inclusive community, organization, and workplace. We hope that you can join in the conversation! Corinne Johnson, Jiana Leung, Co-Chairs Elizabeth Handover, Deborah Hayden, Debbie Reilly, Makiko Tachimori (Fukui), Eric Waters, Yoshiko Zoet-Suzuki, Vice-Chairs ACCJ Women in Business Committee NOTE 1: More details on the October 22 program will follow soon! NOTE 2: This event is ON THE RECORD. NOTE 3: If you cancel after the stated deadline, the full meeting fee will be charged to your account. All guests must be accompanied by an ACCJ member. Sorry, no substitutions or walk-ins. Comments are closed.
