Event Overview:
Join us for a lunchtime seminar to understand the key forces influencing U.S. government policy and how they will change over the next six months. James Lucier, a founding partner of Capital Alpha Partners, is visiting Japan from Washington, D.C. to meet with corporations and investors as they develop their U.S. strategies for the coming years. What are the real forces at play, and how are they relevant to Japan? James will address the following points to assist with business forecasting and give you some insights into what to look out for over the turbulent months to come: Trade - Did corporate America fail to support the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) effectively? Is TPP or any trade deal even a priority for the U.S.? Trump - The deeper meaning of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. What do they tell us about the future of U.S. politics and the global economy? Will financial markets respond negatively to Trump in a close election? Timing - What happens when the economic cycle coincides with the electoral cycle?
