Event Overview:
Please join us for a special luncheon with Mrs. Nobuko Sasae, President of the Nobuko Forum Japan, conference interpreter, and wife of former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the United States of America Kenichiro Sasae. Mrs. Sasae will share her many colorful experiences with participants and reflect on the impact that communication has had throughout her career as an interpreter, Ambassador’s wife, and host of the Nobuko Forum. Among the many areas of Mrs. Sasae’s life and career that have been influenced by the power of communication, one of her most well-known legacies is the Nobuko Forum. Mrs. Sasae founded and moderated the program during her time in Washington, DC, as a way to empower young professional women through discussion on a range of topics, such as entrepreneurship, leadership, workplace diversity, and career-building. It was designed as an interactive forum for multicultural and multi-generational participants to hear the personal stories of accomplished women and learn from their experiences. Mrs. Sasae believes that “life only begins at the end of your comfort zone.” She encourages young women to be bold in their thinking, behavior, careers, and leadership to unleash their full potential.
