Event Overview:
MetLife continues to innovate ahead of tomorrow’s challenges, and innovation often is enabled by partnership. In 2017, MetLife ran “collab,” a global open innovation platform to engage insurtech startups and offer them a fast track opportunity to scale their businesses with MetLife. Through collab, startups from around the world competed to bring different perspectives to address known business challenges at MetLife. One of the collab winners was Tokyo based startup Moneytree, which secured a contract to work closely with MetLife to develop their solution into a customer-facing service. This event will feature a moderated discussion between a speaker from MetLife and a speaker from Moneytree. We will learn about collab, the Moneytree submission, and the proposed problems to be solved. Come to this event to hear about the lessons learned from working together. What do corporations like MetLife gain from working with ventures? What do ventures like Moneytree gain from working with corporations? How does MetLife look at ventures like Moneytree?
