Keiko Tashiro is the first woman to be appointed as a Senior Executive Managing Director of Daiwa Securities Group. In this presentation, Ms. Tashiro will speak about her career to date and how she views her role in the company today, while also sharing her views on how to increase female participation in the workforce more generally. As a finance professional, Ms. Tashiro will also give her views on the policy reform elements of Abenomics, including an assessment of successes and failures, particularly in relation to boosting national productivity and competitiveness in Japan. There are now eight women in top management positions across the Daiwa Securities Group, while the total number of women in management positions has risen to 310 as of March 31, 2016. Daiwa Securities Group has been selected as a "Nadeshiko Brand" company and a "Health and Productivity" company, designations co-sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
