9/12/2018 Taking the Japanese Conglomerate Global: How Hitachi Is Driving Global Growth and Profitability Through HR Processes and SystemsRead Now
Japanese corporations talk about how important it is to be a global leader, and how to build a global leadership mindset. But many Japanese corporations are learning what a challenge it is to do so. Hitachi’s leadership, led by Chairman Hiroaki Nakanishi and CEO Toshiaki Higashihara, decided that the survival of the company depended on his leadership team’s ability to drive change and truly become a global company. One of the ways Hitachi has sought to make Hitachi a global corporation is by driving an aggressive talent and organizational development strategy across 1,000 subsidiaries around the world. The focus of this strategy has been building and implementing global processes and systems in performance management, leadership identification, grading and compensation, and human capital analytics.
At the center of that transformation is Levent Arabaci, who was hired as the head of HR for Hitachi Data Systems in North America, and is now the Corporate Officer, General Manager, Human Capital Division of Hitachi Ltd., as well as EVP, Chief Human Resource Officer, of Hitachi America Ltd. It is under the first title that Mr Arabaci is driving this historic change process at Hitachi. Please join us for this luncheon talk to get a glimpse inside Hitachi, and what leadership is doing to make Hitachi a truly global company. For more information on Mr. Arabaci, please click here.
