We are pleased to invite you to attend a send-off luncheon in honor of Ambassador Shinsuke Sugiyama, the newly appointed Japanese Ambassador to the United States, and his wife, Mrs. Yoko Sugiyama. Ambassador Sugiyama, who first entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1977, has served in a variety of roles including Director-General Asian & Oceanic Affairs Bureau (2011) and Deputy Minister (2013). In 2016, he was appointed Vice Minister. At this special luncheon, Ambassador Sugiyama will deliver remarks on current and future U.S.-Japan relations. We hope that you will join us.
