Event Overview
Businesses are using more and more visual content in their marketing, social media campaigns, and presentations. But have you ever considered the power of your visuals? Are the visuals you are selecting in line with current trends? Have you considered how the increasing focus on diversity and inclusion (D&I) might influence your choices?

In this seminar, Kumiko Shimamoto, head of Getty Images in Japan, will introduce some of the latest trends in visual content and talk about how far D&I has progressed in terms of the content used by businesses around the world.

This will be followed by a fireside chat with Garr Reynolds, author of the Presentation Zen series.

About the Speaker
As Vice President of Sales for Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South East Asia, Kumiko Shimamoto is responsible for developing Getty Images’ business in East Asia and managing the company’s offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok.

Prior to this position, she worked in the Getty Images London office as Senior Director of Editorial Sales and Media Management Services for Europe. She has also been responsible for the strong growth of Getty Images’ editorial sales in the UK, Germany, and Spain.

Shimamoto joined Getty Images through the acquisition of image.net Ltd., where she was Director of Global Sales. Prior to image.net, she set up a computer game development studio in Manchester, England, with a focus on motorsports. There she gained experience in sports licensing. Before moving to the UK, she worked for Osaka Gas in Japan, developing a business park in central Kyoto.

She holds a bachelor of arts from Kobe University in Japan and a master of arts from the University of Manchester in England.

About Getty Images
An American visual media company with headquarters in Seattle, Washington, Getty Images is a supplier of stock images, editorial photography, video, and music for business and consumers, with an archive of over 200 million assets.
