Event Overview
Are you aware of the measures employers are required to take concerning power harassment? In many power harassment cases, not only has the employee committed harassment but the company is charged for its failure to take action. On June 5, Japan’s so-called Labor Policy General Promotion Act was amended. Employers are now legally obliged to take necessary action to prevent power harassment. As the employer’s responsibility in such cases increases, so does their exposure to legal risks. During this seminar, Kitahama Partners Associate Masataka Shitanishi will use several legal cases to illustrate and explain what actions employers need to take when power harassment occurs. Note: This event will be conducted in Japanese with key points summarized in English. About the Speaker Masataka Shitanishi is an Attorney at Law (Japan and New York) at Kitahama Partners.
