Many people feel passionate about Jewelry, but what about as an investment class? Event Overview: Japanese investors continue to hold onto their cash despite earning rates of close to zero percent. They remain wary of investing in traditional investments in equity, etc. Yet, there is a small and growing segment of the alternative investment market that offers investments that truly do not correlate with returns from existing financial market strategies. These include investments in whiskey, fine photographic prints or even Antique Jewelry. Passion Investments: Most of us have visited museum exhibits with fine jewelry, such as the ancient Egyptian gold jewelry on display at the Metropolitan Museum in NY or the Crown Jewels on display in the Tower of London. But did you know that gems are the purest form of minerals, which is why they have been part of religious rites and prized by most rulers throughout the ages? What most people do not realize is that many of these precious gems can also be purchased as an investment. Our speaker, Kazumi Arikawa, believes in the unique and spiritual nature of jewelry that makes it such a special type of investment with appreciation potential. Come to see the gems onsite in his gallery. Attendees will be able to view and even touch pieces from his priceless collection of jewelry dating back to 3000 BC, including the magnificent tiara in the photograph below.
