Event Overview:
Join us for the ACCJ Kansai's annual discussion with the Union of Kansai Governments. This year's public-private dialogue will focus on the Kansai medical data platform and other innovations necessary to ensure and promote population health in Japan, including both digital health technology and utilization of medical data. Japan is the fastest aging country in the world. Slow population growth compounds this issue, making it critical for all stakeholders to seriously consider ways to best utilize available resources to ensure promotion of population health and access to needed care. Utilization of medical data coupled with innovations in digital health technology is key in this context, and the public and private sectors must work together to foster the right solutions. Kansai is one area that is ahead of the curve. The big data consortium called Kansai Health and Medical Care Innovation Council already seeks to enhance citizens' health through better data gathering and sharing. At this discussion, we hope to explore ways to better utilize this system and overcome the current challenges this system faces. The panel discussion will include examples of how Kansai local governments and the private sector are already working together in this area to support greater alignment going forward. We look forward to your attendance at this important event. The panel discussion will be followed by a reception hosted by the ACCJ.
