Event Overview:
In addition to founding and building Monex Group, one of Japan's leading online brokerages, Oki Matsumoto is also leading new thinking about venture technology investing in Japan and nurturing the next generation of Japanese entrepreneurs. In March this year, Institutional Investor magazine nominated Mr. Matsumoto as one of the "Trading Tech 40." In this select group of leaders he is the only person from Japan, and one of the very few people not based in the United States. He will discuss his deep and not well-known engagement with Japanese private markets, young entrepreneurs, innovation, and mentorship. Come to learn about the new business models and differentiated thinking he has been pursuing with Monex Ventures, Endeavor Japan and [Monex Sandbox(tentative name)]. At Mr. Matsumoto's request, please note that the format of this event will take place partly in an interview format, and partly in a discussion with the audience. The program will start with an interview on stage about Mr. Matsumoto's passion for venture capital activities. He hopes that this will broaden into discussion with members of the audience. Please think about preparing questions to ask him at this event. He is looking to engage with ACCJ members and their guests. For more information about the speaker, please click here.
