The referendum held in the U.K. on June 23, 2016, resulting in a vote for the U.K. to leave the European Union, or "Brexit", has been called one of the most significant European events of the post-war period and will have major global implications--political, legal and economic. In this seminar, attorneys from the international law firms of Kitahama Partners and Herbert Smith Freehills will discuss various aspects of the Brexit and how it could impact your business. Among the topics to be discussed will be: - Basic overview of the European Union - Possible scenarios for a future EU-UK relationship - Short-term and long-term Brexit consequences - What businesses can do now to prepare for the Brexit The speakers for the event will be: Jiri M. Mr. Hunt advises clients on complex and multi-jurisdictional dispute resolution matters across various practice areas. He has particular expertise in international arbitration, in many seats around the world, and compliance matters, including anti-bribery & corruption and sanctions. He is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
