7/19/2018 IT Success Across Cultures: Improving Communication, Engagement and Business Performance of Diverse Teams in JapanRead Now
Event Overview:
This event will address the unique issues in sales, marketing, project management, teamwork and vendor management caused by cultural differences in Japan’s IT working style. Our speaker will share tips and strategies to bridge gaps and create behaviours and communication that are a best mix of Japanese and global culture, to improve employee engagement and create business success. Items that will be covered include: 1. How can we speed up IT sales and increase deal sizes with Japanese companies? 2. Why do IT decisions in Tokyo often take seven times longer than in Bangkok or Singapore? 3. How does Japan’s process orientation create a search for causes instead of quick fixes during urgent trouble-shooting? 4. How does the different role and style of IT departments in Japanese companies slow down innovation and adoption of new technologies? Our speaker, Jon James Lynch, is CEO of J-Global, an intercultural change management agency, has helped dozens of Japanese and global IT companies, and many internal IT managers to improve their teamwork and performance. A bilingual trainer with 28 years in Japan, Jon has also directly experienced cultural gaps when selling and co-managing IT projects with diverse team members.
