Event Overview:

We are on the cusp of a biotechnology revolution, and no one wants to be left behind. Looking to copy the successes of Boston and the San Francisco Bay Area, cities across the globe are searching for the perfect ecosystem blueprint, one that sparks innovation. In all cases, the public and private sectors working together towards the same goal is key.

On the evening of November 5, Kanagawa Prefecture Governor Yuji Kuroiwa and GE Healthcare Life Sciences General Manager of Cell and Gene Therapy Strategy Dr. Philip Vanek will join us in a conversation about the necessary building blocks of successful innovation ecosystems.

Under the leadership of Governor Kuroiwa, Kanagawa Prefecture has launched several initiatives aimed at developing the Tonomachi area into an innovation hub that supports industrial development and healthy aging. From opening the Life Innovation Center in Kawasaki City to releasing the Healthcare New Frontier Policy package, Kanagawa is leading the way in developing a new model for sustainable innovation that impacts people’s lives.

Please join us at this exciting event to learn more about Kanagawa’s ongoing efforts to catalyze innovation and the role public–private partnership must play!
