Join us for lunch with Richard Katz who will discuss, "How To Fix Abenomics." Richard has kindly made a number of presentations to ACCJ members over the years, sharing his unique insights in to the workings (or not) of Japan.
It is with a touch of nostalgia that we recall one of Richard's previous engagements with us in 2007 when he presented: "How Able Is Abe?" (4/26/2007) Former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi left some big shoes to fill. Current Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is trying to live up to the expectations, but it remains uncertain whether he can maintain the reform momentum needed to sustain economic growth. Renowned commentator Richard Katz will share his assessment and outlook regarding the Abe administration's prospects. Nine years on, what has changed? Not to make light of the myriad developments over the past several years, but the outlook is as much puzzling as promising. Join us for an up-to-date view from one of our premier commentators on contemporary economic and political matters in Japan. For more information about the speaker, please click here.
