Event Overview:
BroadSoft Japan’s General Manager Jim Weisser will speak to his experience of making a transition from a large, innovative if fraudulent multinational (Enron) to running two different businesses—one in consulting and one in telecommunications. Further he will talk about why he chose entrepreneurship over other options, the difficulties building each business, challenges with employees and hiring, and finally identifying when might be an appropriate time to sell a business. The talk will not be technical, but will focus on key business experiences like, “How do I know I am ready to start a new business?” “fear of failure,” “avoiding bankruptcy,” and “over trusting accountants."
