On June 18th we invite Dr. Yasuhiro Suzuki, Chief Medical & Global Health Officer of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), to share his views on the ideal policies for balancing sustainability and innovation. Japan’s changing demographics and increasingly strained social security system are at the forefront of political discussions—significant reform is expected to transform Japan’s social care system in the coming years.
As the first ever Chief Medical Officer of Japan, he has a forward-looking perspective on the future of Japan’s social security system and welcomes constructive dialogue amongst all stakeholders, public and private alike.
Dr. Suzuki’s previous roles within the MHLW include Director of the Research and Development Division of the Health Policy Bureau, Director of the Medical Economics Division in the Health Insurance Bureau, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs and Director-General of the Health Insurance Bureau. He is a well-respected physician and health expert, with experience spanning across international and domestic organizations.
Following his lecture, he has kindly offered to join us in an interactive and constructive dialogue. Please join us for this can’t miss event!
