Kylie Schuyler heads Global G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World), a nonprofit organization empowering strong girls from vulnerable areas, and California Bliss, an innovative France-based frozen yogurt concept. Her business model is quite unique: 100% of the profits generated by the retailer are used to fund the multinational NGO whose mission is to serve girls aged 10-16 through dynamic near-peer mentoring, transformational literacy and creative art-based expression. Ms. Schuyler serves on numerous non-profit boards in the U.S. and Asia that focus on women, gender equality, and children's education and well-being. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Positive Psychology from the Fielding Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. Also, she is currently authoring a book exploring character strengths, as well as the critical examination of positive psychology and its implications for increasing resilience in adolescent girls. Ms. Schuyler will discuss her experience establishing a flourishing social enterprise, as well as, her passion for empowering girls and amplifying their stories to drive the discourse on gender equality.
