Event Overview:
The challenges of managing various internal and external stakeholders are ever evolving, especially in a business environment spanning cultures and regions. Leaders face particular complexities when aligning the strategies of a company’s headquarters in one country and that of local offices based across the world. ACCJ Vice President Marie Kissel has a wealth of experience in driving positive change between teams in the U.S. and Japan. She will share her insights from her career as a U.S. government trade official, an industry association representative, and in her current role as Senior Adviser, International Government Affairs at Abbott. Ms. Kissel is also the immediate past Chair of The Asia Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce. Ms. Kissel will discuss the importance of being open to new problem-solving approaches, developing a strong peer network, and understanding how to reach and measure business goals. Ms. Kissel will also dive into strategies for successfully managing teams across geographies, including building a better understanding between Japan and regional and global headquarters, as well as between important stakeholders.
