Event Overview:
Tokyo’s successful bid for the 2020 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games and record inbound tourism have triggered a wave of development across the city. With the Olympics only two years away and the Japanese government setting an ambitious target of 60 million inbound tourists by 2030, what are the prospects for the city’s real estate market and tourism infrastructure in the build-up to—and beyond—2020? Join us on September 10 for a special event with Mr. Takashi Goto, CEO of Seibu Holdings, to discuss his company’s vision for the future of property development and tourism infrastructure in Japan. Guided by a mission to “tackle innovation with speed and from new perspectives,” Mr. Goto will share his company’s long-term growth strategy, including how he sees new developments and tourism infrastructure evolving in a changing economy. Through its subsidiaries, Seibu Holdings operates transportation, hotel, leisure facilities, and real estate businesses in Tokyo and across Japan. It runs the Seibu Railway line and owns the Prince brand, one of the largest hotel chains in Japan. It also owns the Seibu Lions professional baseball team.
