Amazon has been making huge investments in Machine Learning since 1995. Many of the capabilities customers experience with Amazon are driven by machine learning. Based on Machine Learning experience at Amazon, AWS has made available a suite of Machine Learning services, end to end platform and hardware to enable cutting edge research. In this session, Swami Sivasubramanian, Vice President for Amazon Machine Learning will talk about the Machine Learning journey and initiatives at Amazon, introduce AWS’s holistic machine learning services and strategy and AWS customer use cases and how they use AWS ML to accelerate their businesses. About the Speaker: Swami is VP at AWS in charge of all Amazon AI and Machine learning initiatives. He managed the engineering, product management and operations for core AWS database services that are the foundational building blocks for AWS: DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache (in-memory engines), Amazon QuickSight, SimpleDB and various other big data services in the works. Swami has been awarded more than 200 patents, authored around 40 referred scientific papers and journals, and participates in several academic circles and conferences.
