In addition to his IOC role, Mr. Coates is currently President of the Australian Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Australian Olympic Foundation. Mr. Coates will discuss IOC’s engagement to help make the Tokyo Olympics the most successful, technologically advanced, diverse and sustainable in history. He will discuss lessons learnt from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and how Japanese leaders, citizens, companies, partners, politicians and NGO’s can help in this process to make the Tokyo 2020 Olympics successful including how Tokyo 2020 can overcome the challenges it is facing today.
