4/24/2018 A Conversation with Maserati Japan President Guido Giovannelli: The Power of ChangeRead Now
Announcement: We are pleased to announce the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan and Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan as co-hosts to our joint chamber speaker event! We look forward to networking with our colleagues from the ICCJ and SpCCJ!
Event Overview: What does it take to boost sales by a factor of six over a five-year period? That is exactly what Maserati Japan has done, accelerating sales from 300 cars a year to nearly 1,800 cars a year. Fueling this extraordinary achievement was a strategy for change throughout the organization, from internal management to dealer relations to brand perception. Implementing a fresh new vision in an industry where competition is intense and market leaders firmly entrenched was never going to be easy. It was necessary both to overcome the cultural resistance to change frequently encountered in Japan and to change the course of a brand with 114 years of history. Guido Giovannelli, President of Maserati Japan, will talk about the challenges the storied brand faced and the solutions it found in an open and informal conversation with Carlo La Porta, co-chair of the Sales Development Committee. Attendees will be invited to ask questions during Q&A at the end. About the speaker: Guido Giovannelli has been with the FCA Group since 1999, and before being named President of Maserati Japan, was the General Manager for West Europe where he oversaw six countries. Mr Giovannelli has a Masters degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering and speaks three languages.
